AFTS is thrilled to return for our third year at the Affordable Art Fair Austin!

Join us May 14–17, 2026 at the Palmer Events Center for Austin’s biggest art event, featuring 55+ local, national, and international galleries and thousands of original works of art—including incredible pieces by more than 20 AFTS artists.

With artwork for every budget, the fair highlights both emerging and established talent, plus lively evening programming, interactive experiences, and family-friendly activities all weekend long.

ART-O-RAMA is back at the Dougherty Arts Center—celebrating Austin’s vibrant, inclusive street art scene.

From murals and graffiti to live performances by musicians, magicians, and poets, this all-ages event brings art into every corner of the community.

This year, we are honored to feature a collaborative work created with Austin-based artist Laurie Carswell and AFTS artists in our studio.

Over a series of workshops, Laurie shared her layered paper collage process—inviting artists to experiment, explore, and build something together. The result is a dynamic, large-scale piece that reflects both the Austin skyline and the individuality of each artist who contributed.

Each building tells its own story, showcasing the unique style and craftsmanship of the artist who created it. Full of movement and energy, the work captures the spirit of the city and the collective power of community.

AmeriCorps VISTA, Outreach & Studio Artists Curate April Exhibition

Art From the Streets is proud to partner with our AmeriCorps VISTA members—Arianna, Elijah, Amira, and Gabby—who continue to strengthen and expand our outreach initiatives. Working alongside Outreach Coordinator Adelle Tippets, they support programs across all locations by engaging volunteers, enhancing safety practices, and helping streamline studio operations, including exhibition preparation, artwork management, and inventory systems.

Through our Outreach Program, Art From the Streets brings art workshops directly into shelters, navigation centers, and other supportive spaces across Austin. These sessions offer a meaningful creative outlet where individuals experiencing homelessness can express themselves, build confidence, and experience connection through art.

This first Saturday in April/May, our AmeriCorps VISTA and Outreach team will come together to curate a special exhibition. The show will feature individual works from studio artists alongside a collaborative piece created by outreach participants, reflecting their voices, stories, and creativity.

We’re excited to debut this exhibition—celebrating the collective contributions of our studio artists, outreach participants, and community partners. It’s a vibrant reminder of how creativity can connect people, inspire hope, and strengthen community.
