💚 7 events. Countless meals. One amazing community. 💚

May was busy and we are NOT complaining. From an Earth Day booth at Huston-Tillotson to Chef Poornima's cooking demo at Wheatsville, potlucks, food truck lunches, a Memorial Day gathering, a dinner meetup, and ending with vegan yoga — AVA was everywhere this month.

Join the Austin Vegan Association on June 24 for dinner at Mr. Natural!

Mr. Natural has created a special dinner menu just for our group featuring your choice of enchiladas, flautas, or tamales, served with rice, beans, and a salad for $14.50.

We're excited to check out Fusion Tadka on June 14! This pure vegetarian restaurant serves Indian, Indo-Chinese, and Nepalese-inspired cuisine with clearly labeled vegan options and a knowledgeable staff.

From momos and chaat to biryani and traditional Indian favorites, there are plenty of options to explore. Join us as we try a new spot and enjoy a delicious meal with the community.

Whether you’re new to yoga or have an established practice, this is a great opportunity to slow down, recharge, and connect with the community. Many of us stick around afterward for a vegan snack or juice at Wheatsville too!

Before dedicating his life to environmental advocacy in 2006, Dr. Rao spent 20 years as a Stanford-educated systems specialist helping build the infrastructure of the internet. Now, he’s helping us build a more compassionate future. Come hear him break down the powerful connections between our food choices, climate change, biodiversity, and human health.
