Great news. The Getaway Foundation has received an amazing Grant from MK Community Foundation for £8203 to support families impacted by poverty with respite breaks for summer 2027.

All families will be referred to us via Milton Keynes City Councils Family support workers" A big thank you to all MK Community foundation donors and Milton Keynes City Council for support us in this project

This grant has been awarded from the following fund(s):

TGAF impact 2026 — A Getaway Foundation family from Luton - Feedback.

"Life has been overwhelming lately, and money has been tight, but the thought and care that went into this trip — from the car seats to the taxi arrangements to everything else organised for us — meant we could still have this experience.

For the first time in a long while, I could breathe, switch off, and just be present with my children. Watching them wake up every morning full of joy, our ice cream dates, late-night walks, all the swimming — those moments were priceless.

This break showed me just how much we need this: a chance to reconnect and make happy memories, away from the weight of everyday worries. Thank you for giving us this opportunity — we'll be grateful for it always." 💙

We are humbled by the support of Wight Aid with a new grant to support more families impacted by poverty in 2027 from the .

By the end of 2026 we would have supported over 100 families creating holiday memories that last a life time since 2021.

Wight Aid has been a major supporter of us throughout this journey

A summer milestone ticked. We have 40+ Families going on Parkdean Resorts Summer holidays. Travel, holiday confirmation and QR code Vouchers for activities and food all sent and most importantly confirmed received from families.
