💙 Did You Know? We're Not Just Here for Newborns!

When people hear the name Baby Basics, they often think we only support families with newborn babies.

But our support doesn't stop there!

At Baby Basics MK, we provide essential items for babies and children from birth up to 6 years old.

Whether it's clothing for a growing toddler, bedding or everyday essentials for a young child, we're here to help families facing difficult circumstances across Milton Keynes.

Our Essential Items Service is accessed through referrals from professionals, including health visitors, schools, midwives and family support workers.

❓ FAQ: Do Donations Need to Be Brand New?

Not at all! 💛

At Baby Basics MK, we're always grateful for donations of good-quality, pre-loved baby and children's items.

We know how quickly little ones grow, and often their clothes, bedding and other essentials still have plenty of life left in them.

All we ask is that donations are:

👕 Clean and in good condition
🧸 Safe and suitable to pass on to another family
💙 Something you'd be happy to receive yourself

Please remember that some items cannot be accepted for safety reasons, and all donations must be booked in advance.

📅 October Half-Term Closure Reminder!

A little reminder that Baby Basics MK will be closed for October half-term, from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October 2026.

During this time, our warehouse will be closed, and we won't be accepting donation appointments or processing new referrals.

🛏️ Can you help? We’re very low on single bedding!

We’d love donations of single bedding to help us put together gift parcels for local families. If you have any spare, we’d be very grateful if you could drop it off this week during our opening hours. 😊

💙 What difference can a small donation make?

More than you might think.

Just £3 can provide a family with nappies and wipes for a week.

£10 can help provide a tin of formula or a week's worth of food for a child, while £25 can provide a steriliser and bottles for a new baby.

Financial donations allow us to buy essentials we're running short of and respond when donated stock simply can't meet demand.

Whether it's £3, £10 or something more, every donation helps us provide practical support to families across Milton Keynes.

🙋 Could you spare one day a week to help local families?

Our warehouse volunteers are a huge part of what makes Baby Basics MK possible.

From sorting donations and putting away freshly washed clothing to preparing packages for families and welcoming people to our warehouse, there's always plenty to get involved with.

Our warehouse volunteering sessions run Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm, and we ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one day each week.

You'll be joining a friendly team helping make sure families across Milton Keynes receive the practical support they need. 💙
