This Thursday 28th I’m going to be WALKING a marathon to support who’s RUNNING one. It’ll be their 33rd marathon in all 32 counties of Ireland, and London (while carrying a 25kg fridge)
Feel free to run either way Cian and Jordan, but if you want to walk either a full marathon or half marathon with me, we’ll be starting at 06:30 in Merrion Square by the statue, and aim to be at Howth Lighthouse by 10:30-11:00.
Each half should take 4hours. We’ll try to stop when we can at cafes for toilet breaks, water and snacks. Be sure to bring battery chargers for phones, money and water. This is not an official marathon, so there’s zero aid stations/medical stations etc.
Jordan and Cian will be starting at 10:00, and estimate finishing at 15:00, but if it’s looking like we won’t make it before them, getting public transport might be required, as this is to support them as a priority over us doing our own marathon, so being in Merrion square in time to cheer them over the line is the priority.
If you don’t want to walk or run, please feel welcome to meet everyone at the finish line in Merrion Square.
