We are looking for friendly student DofE silver volunteers to join our mixed-ability café team on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
It is a chance to:
- gain café experience
- work as part of a mixed-ability team
- learn about genuine inclusion in practice
- volunteer with a much-loved local charity

Some students also choose to volunteer during summer holidays.

Thanks to the funding raised by the players of we were able to open our doors also on Wednesdays.
We are incredibly grateful to Postcode Society Trust and would like to shout out loud a massive and happy 'THANK YOU!'.

Since September 2025, we have been now open on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We provide fitness, yoga, and dance classes, go for walks, meet up to do art, play games, and discuss books together. We also serve delicious lunches and snacks. All prepared by our volunteers and young people with learning disabilities who do work experience with us. We love what we do and are very grateful for this recognition.

Next Thursday during our regular art class, we will be making some pottery with Jenny from .
The workshop starts at 1:30 pm. Make sure not to be late. We cannot wait to see all the creations!🏺

Save the date for two exciting events! Our annual Sponsored Walk on June 13th, followed by a Summer Fair on Thursday, June 18th. Everyone is welcome to join us on both days, and our regular classes will run as always. Every year, a few of us take on an extra challenge and raise money for Wave by doing the sponsored walk. If you would like to undertake this challenge, please speak with us.
