NEW TREASURER NEEDED

Do you want to get more involved with protecting your local green space?

Might you be interested in becoming our new treasurer – or do you know someone we could approach about this vacancy?

Being Treasurer of our small charity is not onerous, the volume of transactions each year is small. On a monthly basis, the time commitment is about one hour, excluding quarterly management committee meetings. Attendance at these meetings is not essential – submission of a single paragraph financial update would normally suffice.

CREOS IS SEEKING NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS

CREOS is a charity that has worked tirelessly for the last fifty years to save the lovely green space on our doorsteps from damage and development.

However, we are all volunteers and need new blood to keep us going. We urgently need a new treasurer and also young minds to join our committee and help on our monthly conservation sessions.

If you're interested in the treasurer role or would like to support our committee in any way, please do get in touch and we can share some more information. Please also pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.

We have been informed that there is a considerable pot of money available for projects in the Crouch End area that can be funded from CIL money. We have therefore made an application to make some improvements to our site and we would like you to give your support to these by clicking on the project on the Haringey website.

Happy new year to all our members.

Although our usual conservation days are held on the third Sunday of the month, we will be pushing it back a week this January as TCV have planned to join us on Sunday 25th January.

We will meet in the Hanley car park at 10:30am on Sunday 25th. TCV provide coffee and biscuits at half-time, so we will not provide a picnic on this occasion.

We hope to see you there.

Thanks so much to the young volunteers who came out down to help at our last conservation session. CREOS was very pleased to have the benefit of the extra volunteering support. If you're interested in coming along to one of our conservation days, they are held on the third Sunday of every month (except December) usually 11am-1pm. Thank you so much to everyone who braved the heat on Sunday and came down to our annual summer picnic. It was a great day and a lovely opportunity for everyone to get together.
