If you are planning to see only one show this summer, make it this one.

Here's the thing about this show. We tackle one of the most urgent, political stories of our time. The crowd that decides what you are before you speak. The interview with no right answers. The people who want to help and somehow make everything worse.

But we don't do it by sitting you down and making you feel guilty. We do it by making you laugh. Loudly.

And what makes this different is that every single person on that stage has lived some version of what you're watching. This is a story we know, we lived.

Described as "pure theatrical imagination."
Two nights only β€” and the seats are nearly gone.

Opening this Tuesday, 14th July, at Jacksons Lane, London.

Ali follows a white rabbit's promises of red buses, perfect queues, and the sixth largest economy in the world... and falls straight into Wonder(Eng)land. A place that looks welcoming, but works against you.

Alice fell into Wonderland. Ali fell into the UK immigration system. Same thing, really.

Following a white rabbit's promises of red buses, perfect queues, and the sixth largest economy in the world β€” Ali falls down a very familiar hole and lands in Wonder(Eng)land. A place that looks welcoming. And works against you.

That's the story we, LegalAliens Theatre, tell in Ali In Wonder(Eng)Land β€” a riotous, hilarious, deeply human show performed by an ensemble who don't just know this story. We lived it.

Opening next week at . Very few tickets left.
The play text is available to purchase from opening night.

When a show gets written about in an academic paper, you know it's done something. This is how Peter Maber, Head of English at Northeastern University London, described Ali In Wonder(Eng)Land:

"A show about a system that looks rational and welcoming β€” but is built to keep the Migrant body permanently mis-sized, misnamed, tested, and displaced."

Which is one way to put it.

Another way: riotous, funny, and deeply human β€” performed by people who've been through exactly what you see on stage.

Both are true. Come and see for yourself.

Under 25? Your ticket is Β£10. Tag someone who needs to see this.

Ali In Wonder(Eng)Land is a powerful show performed by LegalAliens Theatre's Tottenham Project Ensemble β€” refugees and migrants sharing their own stories through riotous, politically sharp theatre. Each bringing their own experience of the system Ali must navigate: the doors that are always the wrong size, the crowd that decides what you are before you speak, the interview with no right answers, the people who want to help and make everything worse.
