Recently we had an amazing day at Park Lane Stables! Our members loved the horse riding, carriage riding and horse grooming. Thank you so much to everyone involved in this special day!

A huge thank you to 1st Formations and Kord Sport for our amazing new cricket kit! 🏏✨

Our blind cricketers are proudly wearing it as they travel around the country playing the game they love. It looks pretty great next to silverware, too—like the domestic T20 cup we won last Sunday! 🏆🥳

We are so grateful for your incredible support! 🙏

WE DID IT! 🏆 Metro are the domestic T20 champions!

Our cricketers lifted the David Townley Twenty20 Cup on Sunday - beating Lancashire Lions in a brilliantly close game. 🏏

Shoutout to Man of the Match Matt Dean and Tom Froud for their unstoppable, unbeaten 189-run partnership! 🤩

Thank you to Lancs for a fantastic game played in great spirit, and a huge thanks to the umpires, scorers, and volunteers. 👏

Goalball training is officially back!

Our regional squad hit the court this week, preparing for the season ahead. Great energy, and everyone gave it their all. 💪

Many thanks to our amazing coaches and volunteers. We couldn't do this without you! 🙌💙

: remember COVID? We barely do either. But it’s been that long since our development team, the Devils, actually won a game.

That all changed on Sunday, when we beat an admittedly understrength Berkshire Stags VI Cricket Club away.

Many thanks to our hosts, who took this freak event with good humour - and provided us with excellent teas.

Our captain was amazed he could buy a round of drinks to celebrate for under £40! Definitely not London prices.

Our friends at Kingston association for the Blind have organised 4 taster sessions to try visually impaired tennis. This is a fantastic, growing sport that also allows visually impaired people to compete and have fun with sighted friends and family.

These sessions are happening on 8, 12, 16 August and 10 September.

To find out more, or register to attend, please email them on [email protected] or call on 02086050060.

Metro lawn bowlers did well at the recent Hastings tournament.

Wilbert Williams won the singles competition. Betty Baker and Wilbert also won the pairs competition, beating Alan Turnbull and Josie Wood in the semi-final. Finally, Alan, Wilbert and Josie were runners-up in the triples competition 👍🏻! VIBE-Visually Impaired Bowls England

- Our third small ball game was a great day, with the Woodsmen winning with 5 balls remaining. However they couldn’t stop the Saints winning the series 2-1. 💪

Many thanks to all players, particularly those that travelled from outside London to take part. We’re looking forward to next season’s series already!
