It’s all kicking off. Lots of supers to drag up hills and stairs to get to the kitchen, but it’s always a proud moment as when you bring the main harvest in. This is about a third of what I have to work through, but mostly from the out apiaries so that’s the hardest bit done

At this time of year, with new queens emerging and going on their mating flights, it’s tempting especially for new to keep opening the hives to check what’s going on. This is quite disruptive for them. Sometimes, it’s better to have a quiet look from the outside, and give the Bees the time to enjoy the sunshine.
