🚀 Just launched: new workshop - Relationships with AI & the Digital World!

Young people are increasingly interacting with AI in ways that go far beyond search and information. Chatbots, companions, and algorithm-driven platforms are becoming part of how they communicate, reflect, and even process emotions.

We’re still learning what this means for relationships, identity and wellbeing. That’s why we’ve launched our Relationships with AI & the Digital World workshop, co-created with our Youth Advisory Board.

It supports schools by helping students:

👉 Understand how AI and algorithms influence thinking, behaviour, and connection
👉 Explore blurred boundaries between human and digital relationships
👉 Develop critical awareness of trust, influence, and manipulation online
👉 Reflect on how identity is shaped in digital environments

Two new workshops. Two crucial topics.

Young people are growing up in a world where relationships are increasingly shaped by AI, digital spaces, and shifting ideas around gender and power.

In the classroom, Relationships, S*x and Health Education (RSHE) is most effective when it reflects students’ lived experiences and realities. This focus is further reinforced by updated government guidance coming into effect from September 2026.

To support the updated RSHE guidance, and help trusted adults support young people through these fast-evolving changes, we’ve launched two new workshops:

➡️ Relationships with AI & the Digital World
➡️ Power & Gender in Relationships

Both have been co-created with our Youth Advisory Board, ensuring learning reflects what's actually happening with young people.

The workshops:

➡️ Explore key themes such as consent, boundaries, equality, and manipulation
➡️ Develop critical thinking and media literacy through real-world scenarios
➡️ Provide structured, sequenced learning using LMK’s 10 Signs
➡️ Create safe, supportive spaces to explore sensitive topics

These workshops build on the foundations established in the ‘10 Signs of Healthy Relationships’ workshop, which must be completed first to ensure all participants have a shared understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationship signs, before exploring more advanced topics.

Exam season can be a challenging time - not just for young people’s learning, but for their relationships too.

Stress, pressure and comparison can all shape how young people relate to friends, teachers, romantic connections and family.

In our latest blog, we explore how these dynamics can show up for young people during exams, and how adults, carers and teachers can better understand and support them.

With SATs nearly over, now is the ideal time to support Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the move to secondary school this September.

The primary - secondary transition is one of the most significant moments in a young person’s life. While new teachers, classrooms, routines and friendships can be exciting, they can also bring uncertainty, especially when it comes to relationships.

That’s why its important to have the right conversations now.

Our classroom activity, “How to talk to Year 6 pupils about their relationships when moving to secondary school”, helps guide these discussions in a supportive and meaningful way. It gives pupils the opportunity to:

➡️ Explore how friendships and routines may change
➡️ Share worries and expectations
➡️ Build confidence in new social situations
➡️ Understand where to go for support if something doesn’t feel right
➡️ Reflect and feel more prepared for Year 7

If you’re working with Year 6 pupils, this resource can help create a space where they feel heard, supported and ready for what’s next.

This , the focus is on taking action to support good mental health.

In school settings, relationships education plays an important role in supporting students’ wellbeing.

At LMK, we see every day how young people’s mental health is shaped by the relationships around them - with peers, partners, and increasingly, online.

But many students experience unhealthy relationship dynamics before they have the language or confidence to recognise them.

And without that understanding, it can be harder to:

✨ set boundaries
✨ seek support
✨ or recognise what healthy relationships look like in practice.

That’s why our workshops focus on helping young people build a clear, practical understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviours - and how these link to their mental health.

For schools, this can support:

💡 safeguarding priorities
💡 student wellbeing
💡 and RHSE that reflects the realities young people are navigating.

If you’re exploring ways to strengthen the link between mental health and relationships education in your setting, we’d love to help.

As the post-SATs dust settles in mid-May, this time is a critical window to help Year 6 pupils prepare to move to secondary school.

The move from primary to secondary school is one of the biggest transitions in a young person’s life. New teachers, new classrooms, new routines and new friendship groups can be exciting, but they can also bring uncertainty.

For many pupils, the biggest questions are not about homework or lessons. They’re about relationships.

Our Primary School Transition Programme supports young people to experience positive endings of their relationships in primary school, and build the tools and confidence to form new, healthy relationships in secondary school.

➡️ Explore what healthy relationships look like in a new setting
➡️ Consider how friendships may change and how to respond
➡️ Understand boundaries, respect and peer influence
➡️ Know where to go for support if something doesn’t feel right

We absolutely loved meeting the team from The Charlie Waller Trust over the past few weeks as part of our Lunch & Learn series - mini CPD sessions run by Shell and Marcus.

These short but meaningful sessions opened up interesting and honest conversations about healthy and unhealthy relationships, creating space for reflection and dialogue.

We explored what we do at LMK, why it matters, and how we can begin to open up more about these important conversations about relationships.

They were such a lovely and engaged group - it was a pleasure to spend time together! Here’s what one of their participants said about the session 💬
