Dear colleagues, friends and supporters,

It is with profound sadness that I share the news that our beloved founder, Professor Colin Green, has passed away.

Professor Green was the heart and inspiration behind IMET2000. His vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence shaped the organisation and touched the lives of so many colleagues, partners, and students over the years. Through his leadership and passion, he built not only an institution, but also a community founded on knowledge, collaboration, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

Many of us have been fortunate to know and work with Colin, and we will remember his wisdom, kindness, enthusiasm, and unwavering belief in the importance of what we do. His legacy will continue through the work of IMET2000 and through all those who were inspired by him.

At this difficult time, our thoughts are with Professor Green’s family, friends, and all members of the IMET2000 community who are mourning this great loss.

ببالغ الحزن والأسى، تنعى IMET2000 مؤسسها العزيز البروفيسور كولين غرين، الذي كرّس حياته لبناء هذه المؤسسة وترسيخ قيم المعرفة والتميز والتعاون.

على مدى سنوات طويلة، أسهم البروفيسور غرين في دعم وتطوير القطاع الصحي والتعليم الطبي في العالم وخصوصا فلسطين، وترك بصمة علمية ومهنية وإنسانية أثرت في حياة العديد من الأكاديميين والمهنيين والطلاب.

سيبقى إرثه وإسهاماته مصدر إلهام للأجيال القادمة، وستظل ذكراه حاضرة في كل ما حققته IMET2000 من إنجازات.

نتقدم بأصدق التعازي والمواساة إلى أسرته وأصدقائه وجميع أفراد مجتمع IMET2000 في هذا المصاب الجلل.

Last Friday, IMET2000 was honoured to host a special fundraising evening at the House of Lords, bringing together supporters committed to restoring lives and rebuilding healthcare in conflict-affected communities.
With a ceasefire now in place, we are ready to begin providing custom-made prosthetic limbs to young amputees at close to production cost — helping children regain independence, dignity, and the simple joy of movement.
At the same time, through our training centre in Ramallah, we continue to strengthen local healthcare capacity — equipping surgeons, nurses, and young doctors with advanced trauma and life-saving skills, while supporting medical students whose education has been disrupted by war.
The infrastructure is ready. The expertise is there. The commitment is unwavering.
Now we need your support.
Every contribution — however modest — will go directly towards prosthetics, psychological care, trauma training, and medical education.
Together, we can restore hope.
