A huge milestone for ScoutMed SASU — and it's all thanks to you.

We're incredibly proud to announce that, with the support of a £20,000 grant from the The National Lottery Community Fund and a generous discount from SCHILLER Medical, we have secured two brand-new Schiller DEFIGARD Touch 7 patient monitors.

These state-of-the-art devices represent a significant upgrade on our previous equipment — bringing greater portability, reliability, and clinical capability to the events we support. For our medical team, that means faster decisions, better information, and a higher standard of pre-hospital care for the patients who need it most.

The monitors have already been put to work at some fantastic Scouting occasions, including the Windsor Day of Celebration and Achievement (the National Queen/King Scout Parade) and HAM Cub Jam — and we couldn't be more proud to have them in our kit.

To the National Lottery Community Fund and Schiller Medical: thank you. Your support makes a real, tangible difference — not just to our team, but to every young person and adult we're there to look after.

Another busy weekend for our teams

One group spent the weekend supporting all the wonderful leaders and helpers at Basingstoke East Scouts, providing onsite medical cover at the Beastly - Scouts and Girlguiding

Meanwhile, over in Hertfordshire, several of our volunteers completed the final weekend of their FREC4 course, helping to further enhance their clinical skills and knowledge so they can continue supporting the unit to the highest standard. A huge thank you as well to our in-house trainers for giving up their time and expertise.

We would also like to say a massive thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who give so much of their free time to support scouting and across teh country — we truly couldn’t do it without you.

ScoutMed on Duty at Foxlease

Our team are out and about this weekend at Foxlease Campsite , proudly supporting 1,300 Cubs and volunteers by providing the onsite medical cover for a fantastic weekend of fun at Hampshire Scouts’ HAM CUB JAM

It’s fantastic to see so many young people enjoying adventure, teamwork, and outdoor fun — and we’re here to help keep everyone safe throughout the event.

It’s been another hectic week here at ScoutMed — but not everything we do is always visable.

A huge amount of work happens behind the scenes, thanks to a small group of dedicated people who rarely get the recognition they truly deserve. Your efforts keep everything running smoothly, and we couldn’t do it without you - thank you.

This week, we’ve made some big strides:
✔️ All of our equipment has been fully checked and professionally serviced, with everything ready and passed for the upcoming season
✔️ Our new members app is now live, making event bookings and HR tasks simpler and more efficient

🚑 Proud to be supporting life-saving skills at Gilwell Park with Scout Adventures! 🌲

It’s been fantastic working alongside the team at Scout Adventures, delivering the Emergency Aid Level 3 badge at this year’s Big Badge Bonanza 🙌

Alongside this, our expert trainers have been on-site delivering the Level 3 Qualsafe Award in Outdoor First Aid, equipping adult leaders with essential outdoor first aid skills to keep young people safe on every adventure.

Our 16-hour Outdoor First Aid Course (Qualsafe Level 3) is designed for leaders who run activities, camps and adventurous experiences and want the skills to respond calmly and effectively when it counts.

What a fantastic governance and training weekend! 🌟
We took time to reflect on the past year of events, refresh key clinical knowledge, and gave members the opportunity to lead sessions on topics they’re passionate about.

The training team also carried out valuable feedback and quality assurance activities, helping ensure we continue to deliver high-quality first aid courses and pre-hospital care.

It was great to unwind ahead of a busy 2026 season too — with archery, tomahawk throwing, stargazing, and plenty of board games providing some well-earned downtime.

Feeling re-energised, connected, and ready for the year ahead! ⚜️
