The Comedy School has designed a course which promotes wellbeing and personal growth for UK Veterans! They ended term 1 with a highly creative and hilarious pre-Christmas comedy improv show! The festive event featured 10 dedicated performers acting out a variety of scenarios in small groups, drawing from their intensive training in improvisational comedy. The highlight of the evening was a brilliant, spontaneous improvised song linked to Christmas, which had the audience singing along and roaring with laughter. The celebratory atmosphere was made even more special by the audience, which included friends, supporters, and many past attendees who returned to cheer the group on, which shows how much of a supportive community there is thanks to the course. The Veterans’ comedy programme is part of ‘Thrive Together London’ managed by The Poppy Factory. …and what a journey it’s been. From huge laughs to powerful moments of connection, Grad shows, Writing courses, mental health talks and then our U.K. Veterans 3rd Anniversary was a true celebration of creativity, community and confidence.

We’re so proud of the veterans who stepped into the spotlight in 2025, supported one another, and showed just how transformative comedy can be. Through humour, learning and shared experiences, confidence has grown, wellbeing has strengthened, and new futures have taken shape.
