Building on the Hibernian Community Foundation’s partnership with SABS and the Pitch to Plate initiative in our Community Hub, Managing Director John MacMillan MBE attended a special event this week recognising the SABS Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign, delivered in partnership with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.

The First Minister of Scotland attended this event, which highlighted that fewer than 2% of Scotland’s population are currently donating blood. This challenging position underlines the vital role that collaborative work plays to encourage all communities to come together and respond positively to this challenge.

The Hibernian Community Foundation looks forward to continuing our joint work with SABS and encourages all to consider donating blood.
