3️⃣ Charter for Involvement – Statement Number 3: We Must Be Involved in Our Communities

🫶 THANK YOU Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities, for listening to the people we support and enable them to be active members of their communities and to have a voice in the things that matter to them.

Everyone has the right to be involved, share their opinions, make choices, and help shape the communities they live in. We encourage and support people to participate in local events, groups, activities, and decision-making opportunities that are important to them.

💙 Our communities are stronger when everyone is included

Rapporteurs Dylan, Rosie and John C led a great session this afternoon with Have Your Say members at The Action Group in Edinburgh.

They shared how the groups' ideas have helped shape our work on hospital standards for people with learning disabilities.

This was also an opportunity for the Have Our Say members to help us think about the best design for the standards.

We are looking forward to a similar session at The Action Group in Falkirk next month.

🎉 The Action Group Opens New Service in Falkirk – TAG HUB

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new service, TAG HUB, from June 2026 at Westfield Park Community Centre, Westfield Street, Falkirk, FK2 9DX.

TAG HUB is a welcoming and inclusive group where everyone helps to plan what we do. Activities are chosen together in four-week blocks, so there’s always something new to look forward to.

Our services in Falkirk include support in The TAG HUB and Outreach, where we support people in the community and their homes.
