This summer, for the first time, three Scottish q***r choirs share the stage for A Celebration of Pride! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦄✨

Join us on Saturday 8 August at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow for a showcase hosted by Q***r Voices Glasgow, with guest choirs Loud & Proud and Còisir Cuèir, MC’d by show‑boy and chanteur Tom Harlow.

🎤 Loud & Proud recently had the privilege of being part of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Mayday production - a one-night-only experience at Edinburgh’s Central Hall, co-curated and directed by Cora Bissett and Hannah Lavery.

The project brought together a rousing line-up of Scottish performers to respond to the times we are living through, and start to imagine a more hopeful future for us all.

We performed Stonewall, one of our signature pieces, written for us by Ali Burns. We also sang in a full-cast rendition of Patti Smith’s People Have the Power.

As part of Loud & Proud’s 20th anniversary celebrations in 2025, this beautiful banner was designed by tenor Kate Charlesworth and brought into existence by a hardworking team of crafty choir members led by soprano Dianne Barry.

The banner accompanied us to our spring and winter anniversary concerts this year. Members of Loud & Proud also marched under the banner at Edinburgh Pride in June, alongside friends including writer Val McDermid and her wife Professor Jo Sharp. They and many members of the choir marched in matching ‘Older D***s for Trans Rights’ t-shirts - both the banner and the t-shirts featured prominently in national media coverage of the day.

Thanks to everyone who came out on December night and supported us - and maybe even danced a little! 💃🪩
