🌟 Small charities. Big impact. 🌟

This Small Charity Week (22–29 June), Training for Care is proud to be part of a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK.

As an Edinburgh-based educational charity, Training for Care has been supporting the social care and childcare sectors since 1982, helping to develop skills, create opportunities, and raise standards of care across Scotland.

Small charities like ours play a crucial role in strengthening the care workforce by providing high-quality training, qualifications, apprenticeships, and professional development opportunities for those working, or wishing to work, in caring professions. Through our work, we help build a skilled, confident workforce that improves the quality of life for children, adults, and communities who rely on care services.

This Small Charity Week, we're celebrating the learners, employers, partners, and supporters who help us make a difference every day. Together, we're creating opportunities, supporting careers, and helping ensure that people across Scotland receive the high-quality care they deserve.

Small charities are where change really happens. They are rooted in their communities, responding to local needs and creating lasting impact through dedicated support and expertise.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Training for Care over the years. Your support helps us continue investing in the people who care for others.

Help Our Students Succeed β€” One Laptop, One Hour at a Time πŸ’™πŸ’»

At Training For Care, our students are working hard to build meaningful careers in the care sector. But for some, a lack of resources makes that journey harder than it should be.

πŸ”Ή Some learners need extra assessor hours to fully meet qualification standards and grow in confidence
πŸ”Ή Others don’t have access to a laptop or suitable technology, making online learning and assignments a real challenge

We’re raising funds to:
βœ… Provide additional assessor support for students who need it
βœ… Build a laptop fund, allowing learners to use devices on-site or borrow them when they don’t have access at home

Access to technology and tailored support isn’t a luxury β€” it’s essential for learning, confidence, and employability.

πŸ’™ Every donation, no matter the size, helps remove barriers and creates real opportunities.
You’re not just funding laptops or extra hours β€” you’re investing in people, skills, and the future of care.

Thank you for supporting our students πŸ’«
