We are pleased to be working with Young Scot to offer 150 Young Scot points to everyone who takes part in our research.

Life in Scotland is our national LGBTQ+ young person led research project to understand your lives, celebrate the good stuff, and fight for change where things need to be better.

We use the results to directly influence the Scottish Government, the NHS, Education Scotland, and more.

Tell us what is important - you don't need to be an expert, we just want to hear from you!

Today feels heavy.

The introduction of the EHRC Code of Practice brings uncertainty, frustration and hurt.

This will be particularly true for those of us most directly impacted.

Trans and Non-Binary solidarity does not begin or end with changes in guidance. We are here, we are with you, and we will keep showing up for each other.

We recognise that this guidance has the potential to most directly hurt trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people.

You do not have to carry this burden alone.

Our community has always faced moments of challenge by standing together, caring for one another and refusing to let anyone be pushed to the margins. That is the commitment we make to each other.

In May 2026, we committed to:

- Always champion the rights of trans people in Scotland and the UK
- Platform young people’s voices
- Challenge the Scottish and UK governments on how they will engage with trans and non-binary young people
- Work with the Scottish Government to support trans and non-binary pupils in schools
- Create guidance for our young people on staying safe
- Support partners on how to continue to include trans and non-binary people, service users and staff whilst minimising risk

We will continue to speak up and stand together, building a community where every LGBTQ+ person knows they belong and is never left to navigate these changes alone.

If you are a young person and need support, we are here for you.

You can contact us for 1:1 support or via the live chat function.

LGBT Youth Scotland stands with the people of Berlin, and LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.

Across the globe we are seeing growing radicalisation, hatred and attacks on LGBTQ+ communities. The horrific violence at Berlin Pride demonstrates why we need Pride more than ever, and we will not allow hate to take away our voices and our freedoms.

Mit Liebe und Solidarität.

Exciting research opportunity for LGBTQ+ people:

Take part in our national action research project, led by young LGBTQ+ researchers.

We are gathering the views and experiences of LGBTQ+ people aged 13 - 25 to understand what life in Scotland is like today.

We know that many LGBTQ+ young people face injustice in Scotland. Our action research aims to understand this so that we can push for change. Research results will be used to demonstrate to key decision makers why they should take action on LGBTQ+ rights, support funding for LGBTQ+ communities, and in training and skills development.

Please complete our survey and share this important research with other LGBTQ+ people so we have a full picture of the diverse lives and needs of our LGBTQ+ community.

We offer a safe, confidential space for you to speak with a fully trained youth worker.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you chat to us – lots of people come to us when they’re questioning their identity and want some help to explore who they are.

Sometimes people worry that their problems aren’t big enough. Nothing could be further from the truth! You do not need to be in crisis to come online and speak to us.

The things you want to chat about are important, and this space is for you.

Monday - 4pm to 6pm
Wednesday - 4pm to 8pm
Thursday - 4pm to 8pm
