🎉 We are hiring a General Manager! 🎉

Funded with support from Minderoo Foundation, CircuitWest has created a new part-time position of General Manager to support the resilient expansion of the organisation and its membership.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the position will be part of a respected industry organisation supporting the state-wide development of the performing arts sector.

We love to support artists and producers to share remarkable stories with communities across Western Australia.

One tour we cherish for this is Piyalbajarri: Yarns and Songs with Peter Salmon.

Piyalbajarri ('Yarns') celebrates the remarkable life and songs of Uncle Peter Salmon, a 93-year-old Thiinma Elder, stockman and songwriter. Performed in Thiinma and English with Peter's long-time collaborator, musician and linguist Rosie Sitorus, the tour shared campfire storytelling, cracking yarns and original music, delighting audiences in Port Hedland, Newman and Broome.

Supporting artists to connect with presenters and their communities across the state creates opportunities for more people to experience powerful stories and understand more about the places they call home.

And becoming a touring artist in your nineties? What an absolute legend!

We're always celebrating the WA Government's Regional Performing Arts funding, which makes tours like KiN possible!

Two funding rounds opened earlier today:

Made in WA - for the development of new performing art works that will be premiered in regional venues

Playing WA - for touring WA produced performing arts shows to regional and remote communities

Both rounds close on Thursday 29 October.

This pilot program will support up to 12 trainees employed by venues and production companies across Western Australia; building technical theatre and event skills, strengthening & accelerating the performing arts workforce and stewarding a resilient sector throughout the State.

WA Showcase 2026 has come to a close after four days jam-packed with pitches, industry events and conversations!

Thank you to the speakers and facilitators who contribute so much throughout this conference including Tandi & Alessandra from Patternmakers, Anne-Marie Heath from The Art House, Katherine Connor from PAC Australia - APAX, Culture Counts' Jordan Gibbs and so many more!

Our biggest thanks goes out to the presenters, programmers, artists, producers and performing arts workers across WA who attended and participated in this year's event. We hope you had as much fun as we did over the last week and can't wait to welcome you back again next year!
