Port Macquarie Academy’s Year 11 boys headed to the Gold Coast for a three-day 'Mini Major' camp, recognising their efforts and encouraging them to stay focused as they move towards Year 12.

The camp included plenty of fun, important conversations and a visit to the Gold Coast Suns High Performance Centre.

Clontarf boys from Carnarvon, Karratha and Port Hedland recently put their job skills into practice at two employment forums across WA’s North West.

Through mock interviews, networking and conversations with local employers, the boys built confidence and learned more about employment opportunities in their region.

Close to 100 senior academy members took part in the 2026 Greater Sydney Employment Forum, meeting representatives from 32 Clontarf partner organisations.

The boys asked questions, explored different careers and learnt more about their options after school.

Ready, set, race! 🏁

Academy members from across Central Australia put their handmade carts to the test at the NT Central Region Billy Cart Derby.

Yirara Academy claimed its fourth consecutive title, while the Tennant Creek academies took out Best Presentation.

Karratha Academy members have enjoyed a busy first half of Term 3, taking part in a Dockers Cup clinic, a lively dodgeball competition and an Employment Forum.

Throughout each activity, the older boys stepped up, encouraged younger academy members and set a strong example for the group.

From construction and mining to retail and environmental management, Clontarf academy members have gained firsthand insight into a wide range of industries and future careers this week.

These workplace visits help the young men build confidence, learn about different roles and prepare for life after school.

🏁 The fourth annual Clontarf Billy Cart Derby brought together 28 academy members from seven NT academies for a day of racing, teamwork and plenty of fun at Bunnings Palmerston.

Congratulations to Haileybury on taking out this year’s Derby, and thank you to Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation, Bunnings Palmerston, our partners and special guests, include the Chief Minister the Hon. Lia Finocchiaro MLA for supporting another great event.

Around 120 young men from Clontarf academies across Far North Queensland recently came together on the Cairns Esplanade for the annual Clontarf Mental Health Fun Run.

The morning was an opportunity to get active, spend time with mates and reinforce the importance of looking after your own wellbeing and checking in on those around you.
