Founded in 2017, the Human Resource Student Association of Western Australia (HRSAWA) is the first state-wide student-run organisation of its kind. We strive to provide the vital link between students and industry, with a key focus on promoting personal and professional developmen

t to the members of the Human Resource body. Our main goal is to provide the opportunity to build beneficial relationships and networks between our student body and the Human Resources and Industrial Relations sector, to gain invaluable connections and real life vocational experiences. The HRSAWA values the wellbeing and professional guidance of all its members and will continue to create and evolve it's offering of innovative and valuable services.

Milly is excited to be part of the revitalisation of the Human Resources Student Association of WA and is looking forward to helping create a fun, supportive and engaging community for students in 2026.

Her goal is to find engagement from companies offering HR-specific internships and industry partners to provide networking opportunities to our members.

In collaboration with The Piddington Society, the Industrial Relations Society of Western Australia presents the 2024 Investigations Workshop.

This full day event will take you through the key issues relating to workplace investigations from start to end. The core topics areas that this Workshop will cover are:

1. Identification of problems worth investigating - when is an investigation required?

2. Investigation design - preparing for an investigation, including drafting allegations.

3. Interview skills & gathering evidence.

4. Assessing evidence and making findings.

5. Presenting investigation outcomes, including investigation report drafting and next steps.

6. Ethical issues - managing ethical dilemmas in workplace investigations.

All are welcome: this event is designed for IR/HR practitioners, union industrial officers, in-house legal, employment lawyers and workplace investigators. Legal practitioner attendees will be eligible for up to six CPD points.

An incredible lineup of speakers have been prepared, including commission members, barristers, seasoned IR & ER practitioners and advocates - further details TBA.

Tickets will be sold in 2024, with special pricing available for IRSWA Members.
