Come along on forest patrol with the Tiger Patrol team in Koto Rajo, West Sumatra! 🥾 🐅

Their mission: protect Sumatran tigers and the forests they call home.

On a recent patrol, the team updated an old trail camera, documented signs of incredible wildlife like sun bears, and destroyed deadly wire snares.

In celebration of , we're honouring the Tiger Patrol Team of West Sumatra. 🧡

This dedicated team of rangers protects the Critically Endangered Sumatran tiger and its forest home. They patrol daily to stop illegal poaching and hunting, and step in before conflict with nearby villages turns deadly.

Every patrol means tigers protected from danger, and one step further from Extinction. 🐅

Today, and every day, we thank them. And you, our amazing supporters, for helping keep them in the field!

🌏 Happy , wonderful Wildlife Guardians!

Nature is the backbone of our beautiful world. From the depths of the seas to the tops of mountains, and orangutans swinging through jungle trees – Earth is an extraordinary, fascinating place.

But nature runs on limited resources. Oil, minerals, water – all found in nature, all used by people, every single day. With nearly 8 billion people on Earth today, we're using up these resources faster than ever.

That's why protecting what's left matters so much:
🦧 Orangutans rely on healthy rainforests to survive and thrive
🐘 Elephants depend on intact habitat to move safely, without conflict
🐅 Tigers need vast, connected forests to roam and hunt
🌳 Rainforests are the lungs of our planet, home to countless species
🏘️ Rainforest communities are the frontline guardians, living alongside and protecting rainforests and wildlife everyday

Protecting nature means protecting all of it. The animals, the forests, and the people who call them home.

We're so proud to work hand in hand with you, doing our part for nature. Protecting orangutans, tigers, and elephants, and saving the forest homes they all depend on.

TRUE! Every tiger on Earth has a completely unique stripe pattern. No two are the same, just like human fingerprints.

This is especially helpful for our teams on the ground, as it helps them identify individual tigers by their stripes on trail camera footage. Just like this Sumatran tiger, captured on camera in West Sumatra!

This is just ONE of the many reasons tigers are so unique and so incredible. Working together to save them matters more than ever. We need these amazing animals roaming free and wild. 🧡
