The world is small. Think Big!

LSI participants come from public and private high schools in the DC Metro region and strive to better understand global issues and then take action to address them. We identify students with the passion to make a difference, and equip them with the knowledge, business tools, relationships and practice they need to transform their schools and communities—and themselves. Through international summer service-learning opportunities and entrepreneurship training during the academic year, LearnServe prepares high school students to be global leaders and social entrepreneurs.

What an incredible 2026 LearnServe Global experience this has been! As we recap highlights from Zambia and Costa Rica, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it happen. Thank you to our amazing community of student global travelers, parents, partners, donors, supporters, and staff! Your collaboration and support made all the difference.

Our students and their peers in Costa Rica created some beautiful memories during their experience abroad. The joy of life really translates through moments seen here!

As we observe these highlights, it inspires us to consider what does the “joy of life” look like for LearnServe? It is about living with purpose, discovering who you are, connecting with others, embracing new experiences and cultures, and realizing that your actions can make a difference.
