Our young people need to know they matter and are craving meaning, belonging, purpose, and hope. They want more connections with their peers, caring adults, and community institutions.

Our communities need strong nonprofits and willing volunteers more than ever. Demand for services in health, education, human services, human rights, and the environment is up and funding is down.

Our democracy needs a renewal of a civic spirit where working together for the common good becomes the common opportunity, common expectation, and common experience of every citizen.

As we enter America’s Semiquincentennial year, youth service is a solution to all these needs. Youth participation in volunteering and service, voting and civic engagement, joining and philanthropy, and youth voice and leadership opportunities helps ensure that our young people, our communities, and our democracy thrive.

Help YSA create more opportunities for young people to be connected to and contribute to their communities. Give today at: YSA.org/donate

St. Cloud Elementary is lined with 2,977 American flags in remembrance of 9/11, each representing a life lost that day. 🇺🇸 West Orange High School sophomores Lucas and Cooper Tulloch earned a Youth Service America grant to bring this powerful tribute to life and honor the victims through service.

🇺🇸 We Serve to Remember 🇺🇸
This week, we honor the legacy of 9/11 not just in words — but in service. ❤️💪

Across the city, our youth are rising up with compassion, courage, and purpose — and Isabella is leading the way. 👧🎗️

💚 A proud Girl Scout from District 123, Isabella came to the Stuffed Love Food Pantry with a kind heart, helping hands, and a smile that lit up the block. 🌟

But her journey didn’t stop there…

🧵 Isabella went home and hand-sewed 96 Stuffed Love Heart pillows — each one made with love for children in hospitals, shelters, and crisis situations. 💖

Every stitch. Every smile. Every act of kindness.
This is how we remember. This is how we heal. This is how we rise. ✨

🙏 Thank you, Isabella, for reminding us what real service looks like.
You are the heartbeat of this week — and the future of hope. 💫

Fenwick se enorgullece de ser una Escuela Mundial IB y, como parte de nuestro compromiso de formar ciudadanos globales responsables, solidarios y activos, nuestro campus se une al movimiento de para el Día de Servicio del 11 de septiembre.
