Chevy Chase Community Association

Chevy Chase Community Association A page for those who live and work in Chevy Chase DC to share photos, ideas, events, and happenings about the neighborhood we love.

The Chevy Chase Citizens Association (CCCA) brings members together to work on matters of neighborhood and citywide importance. The Association started its work in 1909 and we've been busy ever since, making us one of the longest running Citizens Assocations in DC. In any given year, the CCCA holds 10 Board meetings, 8 membership meetings, writes 48 ‘neighborhood news' columns for the Northwest C

urrent and publishes 8 member news letters. We also host forums for candidates running for various offices in DC. We organize our largest neighborhood event, Chevy Chase DC Day each summer. We pass out candy and say 'boo' at Spooktacular each Halloween. We organize a holiday cookie decorating party in December. We participate in an all-day feeding frenzy for our police department in May for Police Appreciation Day. We honor those same officers at an awards ceremony in September. We have ongoing programs such as reviving the outdoor space at the Community Center including maintain the rain and butterfly gardens; planting annuals on Connecticut Avenue and our very active neighborhood watch program. One of our newest initiatives is our Main Street Project Committee to continue our business district beautification. All of our work is only possible because of member dues and volunteers. We couldn't do it without you so if you haven't become a member, consider doing so. Or maybe you'd like to volunteer on one of many committees. A full list can be found on our website. And above all else, we LOVE Chevy Chase DC.
