This Memorial Day, The Congressional Award honors and remembers the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire future generations to lead through service, commitment, and community involvement while reminding us of the enduring impact of those who served before us.

🌟 Medalist Spotlight: Jared L.🌟
📍Baker, LA | 🥇 2025 Bronze Medalist

Jared earned his Bronze Medal through leadership, service, and a commitment to uplifting his community.

🤝 For Voluntary Public Service, he mentored at-risk students through the M.O.B Academy, supported literacy and leadership programs for youth, raised awareness for blood cancer research, and helped lead community improvement projects across Louisiana.

💼 For Personal Development, he strengthened his communication and leadership skills through his work in insurance services and as a State Board Officer for Louisiana Youth & Government Conference. 🏃 For Physical Fitness, Jared improved his mindset, endurance, and running techniques as a Varsity Cross Country athlete.

🌍 His Expedition explored Yoruba culture and the Osun-Osogbo Festival in Nigeria through documentaries, virtual exploration, and cultural research.

🌟 Medalist Spotlight: Zanele S. 🌟
📍 Miami, FL | 🥇 2026 Gold Medalist

Through dedication and a drive to grow, Zanele earned her Gold Medal by pushing herself across service, academics, fitness, and new experiences.

🤝 For Voluntary Public Service, she completed 400+ hours at Nicklaus Children’s Health System, supporting patient care through equipment maintenance, data logging, and mentoring fellow volunteers.

💼 For Personal Development, Zanele dedicated over 300 hours to studying for the PSAT and Digital SAT, raising her scores while building resilience and time management skills. For Physical Fitness, she developed a consistent routine of cardio, strength training, and nutrition planning.

🌍 For Expedition, she traveled to the Florida Keys, where she practiced driving, kayaking, parasailing, and camping while building confidence and adaptability.

🌟 Medalist Spotlight: Robby S. 🌟
📍 Alhambra, CA | 🥉 2025 Bronze Medalist

Robby earned their Bronze Medal through a strong commitment to service, leadership, and personal growth.

⛺ For Voluntary Public Service, he completed 120+ hours supporting environmental projects and local organizations, including an Eagle Scout project benefiting areas impacted by the Altadena Fire. Through Personal Development, he strengthened life skills through merit badges and grew as a leader, serving as Senior Patrol Leader and Crew Leader.

🏃For Physical Fitness, Robby dedicated over 1,000 hours to football, track, and high-adventure training. His Expedition took him to Philmont Scout Ranch, where he backpacked after months of training hikes and led his crew along the way.

⏰ Reminder for participants who met the February 1 Gold Medal submission deadline and received a revision request.

Please submit your Record Book revisions by March 15 to remain eligible for the 2026 Gold Medal Class. If additional revisions are required after March 15, the participant will be considered for the 2027 Gold Medal Class.

🌟 Medalist Spotlight: Mia V. 🌟
📍 Scottsburg, IN | 🥈 2025 Silver Medalist

Mia earned her Silver Medal by serving her community, building career skills, and challenging themselves to grow through new experiences.

🏕️ For Voluntary Public Service, she supported her community as a 4-H camp counselor and served on the Scott County Youth Grant Making Council, supporting local schools, food pantries, nursing homes, and other community organizations. Through Personal Development, she interned at an Equine Small Animal Clinic, gaining valuable experience toward a future in veterinary medicine, while also working as a barista.

🏃For Physical Fitness, Mia trained for and completed a 5K charity run, developing a positive attitude toward running and lifelong health. Her Virtual Expedition led her to explore Spain, completing a detailed report on the country’s culture and history.
