Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) is excited to invite parents, pre-teens and teens across the country to participate in our virtual Future-Ready Series starting Oct. 13th.

This FREE virtual series is powered by Clubhouse @ Your House and the Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation. This series will feature Career Launch and Diplomas to Degree program topics and will help youth explore careers, prepare for college, find funding opportunities, build essential skills, and develop the confidence they need to succeed.

Whether you are a parent or Boys & Girls Club member or not, ALL are welcome!

Over the next three months, participants will join interactive virtual workshops with dynamic, engaging speakers and experts who will share practical strategies, insider insights, and real-world advice on topics that can help them prepare for what comes next.

Participants will also learn how to leverage AI responsibly to assist with brainstorming ideas and research.

October kicks off fall programming across our Clubs—and with it, a continued focus on the mental and emotional well-being of our youth.

Through trauma-informed care, we’re training staff, reimagining physical spaces, and partnering with health organizations like Minds In Motion Therapeutic Services LLC to create environments where kids and teens feel safe, supported, seen, and heard.

Mental health is one of the most important issues facing young people today. That’s why our Clubs are creating more opportunities for youth to talk about their emotions, build healthy coping skills, and develop the tools they need to navigate an ever-changing world.

Because every young person deserves more than a safe place to go. They deserve a place to heal, grow, thrive, and become their best selves.

What better way to spend a Friday night than with our Keystone teens!

We kicked off this year’s Keystone Club with an evening filled with connection, creativity, leadership, and plenty of fun—yoga, dinner, Chill Zones, video games, arts & crafts, and time to simply connect with one another.

Keystone Club is our premier teen leadership program for young people ages 14–18, giving them opportunities to grow through academic success, career preparation, and community service.

And let’s talk about the commitment: our teens are choosing community service. They’re CHOOSING leadership development. They’re CHOOSING to invest in their future—on a Friday night! 👏🏾

We can’t wait to see where this group goes this year as they lead, serve, grow, and make their mark in our Clubs and in the community!

As we enter Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season, Regional Athletic Director, former NFL player and Super Bowl champion Darrell Jackson, and BGCGW President & CEO Eddie L. Koen, reflect on where every champion’s journey begins: at the ground level, when they’re kids.

Whether they grow up to be professional athletes or “life champions,” young people thrive through meaningful experiences, caring adults, and mentors who help them discover what’s possible.

At BGCGW, we believe every child deserves the support and opportunities to build a great future.

This excerpt is from a real letter sent to one of our Clubs. Correspondence like this reminds us that we are so much more than an out-of-school time organization. We are a bridge between the child they are today and the person they are becoming. Every day, we strive to fulfill our mission through our formula for impact. We create spaces where kids feel safe, seen, and supported. And we build the relationships that help them grow, discover their potential, and become who they are meant to be.

We don’t always receive thank-you letters. But we see the smiles. We get the high-fives. We witness the growth, the transitions, and the small—and sometimes BIG—changes they go through every day. And for all of it, we are grateful.

Thank YOU for entrusting us with our world’s future—for allowing us to help shape their journey and play a role in the person they are destined to be.

Thanks to an incredible partnership between the Maryland Boys & Girls Clubs Alliance, the Washington Commanders, and FirstPic, Inc., our Club kids had an unforgettable experience!

A special shoutout to Washington Commanders and hometown hero Nick Cross for thinking of Clubhouse 14 in Northeast DC. Because of Nick’s generosity, our Club kids will have tickets to every home game this season!
