Our 2026 Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation Summit continues! Our Changemakers spent the last two days meeting with our corporate partners and board members. They learned all about career pathways, took portraits and professional headshots, and practiced the soft skills of networking. to all of our volunteers and community partners for making this such an enriching experience. Today, we roll on to innovation and advocacy work as well as a little fun, DC style!

What a start to the 2026 Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation Summit! Our Changemakers spent the day exploring A.I., innovation, and future career pathways with incredible partners at Amazon and Boeing, while also creating their own tech-focused public service announcements. A special highlight was meeting Dr. Sachiko Kuno and thanking her for the vision and generosity that make opportunities like this possible.

The 2026 Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation Summit is underway! After a 10-week exploration of A.I., nearly 70 teens from Boys & Girls Clubs across the country have come together for a week of innovation, career exploration, leadership development, and new connections here in Washington, DC. From industry workshops to hands-on learning experiences, we’re excited to see these Club leaders continue to grow and shape the future.

A huge THANK YOU to the Turner Construction Company for refreshing our Teen Tech space at our FBR Club in Southeast DC! This space is where teens learn everything from graphic design, to photography and filmmaking, to learning how to DJ, host a podcast, and even 3D print.

We are one week away from our 4th annual Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation Summit! Our C.O.T. serves Club youth from across the nation, Canada, and Puerto Rico (ages 12 - 18). This year's theme is "Back to the Future with Technology!" We'll look at past technology to see how our next generations can take the tech and move it forward to tomorrow. The Dr. Sachiko Kuno Center of Transformation is a first-of-its kind “incubator” for change, innovation, engagement, and advocacy. See you in a week!

A big thank you to the Booz Allen Foundation for empowering our tweens with their “What is Artificial Intelligence?” workshop. Afterwards these wonderful volunteers stayed for a jam session with our youth making GarageBand arrangements and original compositions. Our Summer STEM Educator, Gabrielle, who is a music major at Howard University shared his passion for music with the Club members. This was a fantastic celebration of tech and creative minds coming together!
