When we asked Robert what brought him in to donate, his answer was simple:

"I got a phone call saying you needed blood, so I made an appointment." ❤️🩸

It wasn't until we talked with him a little more that we realized just how humble he was being. Robert is a lifelong blood and platelet donor, and today marked his 152nd lifetime donation!

Little Reggie Bryant just turned 1-year-old. A lot of that one year has been in the hospital.

For nearly 50 years, Damian has been making a lifesaving difference. ❤️🩸

His donation journey began in 1976 at a community college blood drive. After taking a break from donating for about 15 years, everything changed when he saw a sign explaining how a single whole blood donation could help multiple patients in need.

That message stuck with him.

Since returning in 1990, Damian has faithfully donated every eight weeks. He also donates platelets about four times a year, always looking for another way to help patients.

Thank you, Damian, for decades of generosity and for proving that one simple decision can become a lifelong commitment to saving lives. ❤️

At just 5 months old, Reggie was diagnosed with a malignant rhabdoid tumor at Children's Minnesota. Now 1 year old, this little fighter has endured multiple surgeries and treatments, and received three dozen blood transfusions along the way. ❤️🩸

For Reggie and his family, blood transfusions have been a critical part of his care.

“He’s just so much healthier and happier once he gets the blood,” his mother Danielle shared. “Knowing that there’s blood and access to it is very critical.”

Jaxon was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Shone’s Complex, two congenital heart defects that required multiple open-heart surgeries, life support, and countless blood transfusions.

Today, he’s a thriving and energetic third grader. To celebrate his resilience, friends and neighbors recently came together to host a local blood drive, proudly rolling up their sleeves in his honor.

Jaxon’s journey reminds us that blood donation brings comfort, strength, and hope during life’s most difficult moments.

"Honestly, I just wanted to do something that was new and good for the community."

With a donor center conveniently located near his home home, Lamar decided it was the perfect time to make his first blood donation. The best part? He said he had a great experience that he's already looking forward to coming back and donating again.

Only about 3% of the eligible population donates blood, making first-time donors like Lamar critical for a healthy and stable blood supply.

Michael recently made his first blood donation in memory of his father, who passed away from cancer. The donation was especially meaningful because it took place on what would have been his father's birthday.

By his side was his girlfriend, Melanie, a dedicated donor who has been giving blood for several years. Having donated regularly at workplace blood drives and typically rolling up her sleeve twice each year, Melanie was proud to support Michael during this special milestone.

Together, they turned a day of remembrance into a gift of hope for patients in need.
