What a day at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities! 🏈🩸

Over the weekend, we joined our friends at Abbott to host a table before the Minnesota Gophers vs. Wolverines game, with Big Noon Kickoff on FOX on hand to get the crowd excited and support the We Give Blood campaign.

It was a successful day all around. We blood typed dozens of fans, talked with people about the importance of donating blood, and watched the Gophers bring home the Little Brown Jug! 🏆

One of our favorite moments came when a fan who recently moved to Minnesota from Michigan stopped by our table. He had been a regular blood donor back home and was looking for a new place to continue donating in his new community.

That’s what blood donation is all about: wherever you call home, there’s always a way to give back. ❤️

Platelets are essential for patients undergoing cancer treatment, surgery, and more. They also have a very short shelf life, making a steady supply of platelet donors especially important. Make an appointment, bring a friend, and help strengthen the platelet supply. 💛

After seeing the impact of lifesaving blood products, Georgia’s mom, Whitney, rallied her community to give back. Last year, they collected 51 units of blood in a single day—nearly four times the amount Georgia received during treatment. This September, the community came together again in Georgia’s honor, continuing the cycle of giving.
