Thanks to the Mankato Free Press for their thorough coverage of this week's South Central Regional Housing Forum.

It was inspiring to see so many community partners come together to dig into regional housing data, share local insights on needs and successes, explore technical assistance and funding opportunities, and spark new ideas for collaboration.

As our President and CEO Andrea Brennan put it during her remarks, “Partnerships and collaboration is kind of the word of the day.”

GMHF was grateful to co-host this conversation along with Minnesota Housing, Region Nine Development Commission, and Minnesota Housing Partnership.

May is Affordable Housing Month and a perfect time to reflect on what’s possible when we invest in homes and communities.

Our 2025 Annual Report is here, highlighting a year where we delivered on an ambitious work plan, surpassed our lending and equity investment goals, and maintained our financial strength.

In 2025, we continued to leverage knowledge, relationships, and financial resources to advance housing solutions across rural, Tribal, urban, and suburban communities in all 87 Minnesota counties. We deployed $187M in low-cost capital, provided 1,730 hours of technical assistance, and helped create or preserve 1,478 affordable homes.

The interest list for the new affordable housing community located above the Native American Community Clinic in Minneapolis is now open!

The Native American Community Clinic’s new South Minneapolis health center and affordable housing project is expected to open in September, with applications now open for its 83 apartment units.
