📝Writing an artist résumé can feel like an impossible task. What do I include? How do I best represent my work? Where do I start? We’ve got an answer for that last question — here at Springboard!

Coming up on Friday September 11 at Springboard’s Vickie Benson Resource Lab in Saint Paul, MN, we’re partnering with Ramsey County, Minnesota Workforce Solutions to present two 90-minute workshops that will cover how to create a clear, effective professional résumé that highlights your skills, experience, and accomplishments. Designed for artists seeking employment opportunities, we’ll explore résumé structure, tailoring your materials to a specific opportunity, writing strong descriptions of your work, and presenting your skills with clarity and confidence. Each workshop will be led by artist instructor (and Springboard Artist Career Consultant) Anitra Budd!

Participants can register to attend the workshop on 12:00-1:30pm, or 2:00-3:30pm, as well as sign up for a 15 minute one-on-one résumé consultation between 1:30 and 4:30pm for even more support. pace is limited to 20 artists per session, so be sure to register early! 📣 Exciting news - Springboard is hiring a Rural Program Coordinator!

The Rural Program Coordinator will support the planning, ex*****on, and logistics of Springboard for the Arts’ events and programs in Fergus Falls and Otter Tail County, Minnesota, occasionally supporting statewide or national programming. This position ensures that activities are well-organized, inclusive, and accessible while upholding our values of hospitality, consistency, and community care.

☀️ If the sun is out, chances are, so are we.

We’re kicking off a joint series at Springboard spaces in Saint Paul and Fergus Falls! You’re invited to join us on Friday, August 21 from 10am to 12pm for Coffee Club! Bring a creative project, your busy work, or just yourself, and spend the early afternoon with us!

No signup required, and fresh coffee and light snacks will be provided. We’ll also have craft supplies onsite at both locations to spark creativity and conversation. Hope to see you there!

🦉 This evening in Fergus Falls, MN - local watercolor artist and author Kiley Busko will be our featured artist at Made Here! Kiley will be hosting a live watercolor demo starting at 6:00pm, and we really can't wait to see her bring her signature birds of to life!

Kiley Busko (she/her) is a watercolor artist inspired by birds and the wildlife found in everyday places. Her fascination with birds began while living in Minneapolis, when she discovered a Great Blue Heron rookery tucked among the city’s industrial landscape. That experience sparked a passion for both birdwatching and painting. Working primarily in watercolor, Kiley combines loose, expressive washes with carefully rendered details to capture the movement, personality, and beauty of her subjects. Through texture, abstraction, and vibrant color, her paintings celebrate the wonder of wildlife and encourage viewers to take a closer look at the natural world around them.
