Gender Justice is partnering with the Minnesota Truth Council to collect independent, nonpartisan accounts of harm caused by federal violence and ICE occupation in Minnesota.

Any impacted community member — immigrants, refugees, journalists, legal observers, neighbors, and advocates — can share their stories of detention, witnessing harm, lost income or housing, or supporting those living through it. Storytellers can choose to remain anonymous or be named, either individually or as part of a group.

📧 Interested in sharing your story? Reach out to [email protected]. You don't need to share details in your first message, just that you'd like to talk.

📢 Remembering and recording is the first, critical step toward accountability. Learn more about the Minnesota Truth Council at www.theadvocatesforhumanrights.org/MNTruthCouncil

You’re invited to join us for a very special Minnesota Trans Equity Training on Wednesday, August 5 from 5 - 7:30 PM, in-person in St. Paul!

As anti-trans fearmongering increasingly targets trans people's existence in traditionally gender-separated spaces such as sports, bathrooms, and prisons, this training will give you the tools to recognize these toxic narratives — and counter them while affirming trans humanity, dignity, and joy.

Even if you’ve already attended one of our virtual Trans Equity Trainings before, this one will build on the terminology and skills you’ve learned and we’d love to see you there. Learn more and RSVP: https://secure.everyaction.com/mCdF45AjukmlXTDbEJtS9g2

Join us Wednesday, July 29 from 12 - 1:15 PM for a virtual, interactive Minnesota Trans Equity Training!

As we continue to see escalating attacks on trans people’s safety, dignity, and civil rights, it’s more important than ever to pro-actively plug in and stand with our trans neighbors. In this training, you’ll build skills to have effective conversations supporting trans equity, connect with fellow energized community members, and find ways to take action.

We honor the life and legacy of Rep. Karen Clark, who passed away this week.

When she was elected in 1980, she became the first openly le***an member of the Minnesota Legislature and went on to serve for 38 years. She helped amend the Minnesota Human Rights Act in 1993 to protect LGBTQ Minnesotans from discrimination — meaning she is one of the reasons this week's U.S. Supreme Court decision will not interfere with trans athletes' right to play in Minnesota. And in 2013, she authored the bill that brought marriage equality to our state.

A nurse, an environmental justice champion, and a mentor to generations of leaders, Karen showed us all what it means to fight for your community - and win. Rest in power Rep. Karen Clark.
