Did you know that an estimated 50,000 Native Americans live in the Twin Cities area? Our region is home to vibrant Indigenous communities whose traditions, languages, knowledge, and leadership continue to shape Minnesota.

At CIS Twin Cities, we are honored to work alongside students who identify as Native American, recognizing their unique identities, cultural heritage, strengths, and potential.

Today and every day, we celebrate Indigenous youth, honor the generations who came before them, and remain committed to helping every student feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

This Coordinator Appreciation Week, we recognize the dedicated professionals who help make schools places where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered.

Communities In Schools coordinators do far more than solve problems; they build relationships that change lives. Whether they're connecting families to resources, encouraging a student through a difficult day, celebrating milestones, or helping remove barriers to learning, their impact reaches far beyond the classroom.

Their commitment reminds us that student success begins with someone who chooses to show up, listen, and believe in a young person's potential.

This Pride Month, Communities In Schools celebrates the power of belonging.

Every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered to be their authentic self. Throughout the year, CIS works alongside schools, families, and communities to help create environments where young people know they matter and have access to the support they need to reach their full potential.

As we recognize Pride Month, we celebrate the contributions, resilience, and diversity of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities across the country.

Together, we can continue building schools and communities where every student feels connected, valued, and supported.
