Now is a critical time to demand a Lyndale Avenue South that’s safe and welcoming for everyone! Submit a public comment on Hennepin County’s updated reconstruction design, before the plan gets sent to city and county decision makers for final approval this summer: https://www.movemn.org/updated-lyndale-design-released-take-action-now/

Thanks to dedicated advocacy of the Livable Lyndale campaign and Move Minnesota Minneapolis volunteer team, Hennepin County has abandoned a misguided design proposal for the reconstruction of Lyndale Avenue South! But, the new design still needs critical improvements to protect the safety and comfort of people walking, rolling, biking, and taking transit along Lyndale.

Please share your comments with Hennepin County on this once-in-a-generation redesign by April 24!

URGENT ACTION: Metro Transit, the City of Saint Paul, and Ramsey County are considering making the dedicated bus lane on Marshall between Wilder and Cretin avenues permanent—and they need to hear from you by tomorrow, March 20!

Dedicated bus lanes, often painted onto the street, ensure buses—and bus riders!—don’t waste time stuck in car traffic. The B Line bus lane has made travel times more reliable, helping riders get to their destinations faster and on time.

Today is Transit Employee Appreciation Day, so join us in giving an extra warm "Thank you!" to all of the bus drivers, light rail operators, and other staff who keep our public transit system running rain, snow, or shine every single day of the year! Do you have a favorite route or transit employee you want to share the love with? Shout them out in the comments!

Yesterday was the one-month anniversary of Alex Pretti’s murder by federal agents. Among many things, Alex was a bicyclist—someone who shared our love of riding around the Twin Cities. In honor of his life and courage, we joined thousands of people who bike for a group ride on January 31st. Our thanks to the good folks at for organizing this moment of togetherness and solidarity.

In Minnesota right now, there’s a mix of hope, fear, and uncertainty about what the future holds with the federal occupation of our communities. But our love for our neighbors and our resolve to stand up for what’s right, that’s a sure thing. 💙🩵

In Minnesota, we show up for each other. Especially in times of heightened fear and uncertainty, it is our care for one another, and our willingness to put that care into action, that stands out. As our immigrant neighbors and broader communities continue to face the abusive tactics of federal ICE agents who have flooded our streets, cities, and transit stops this winter, we know many of you are already finding ways to show up and speak out. Thank you!

This Friday, January 23, we invite you to join us in observing ICE Out of Minnesota: A Day of Truth and Freedom. This means no work, no school, and no shopping. A peaceful march is planned starting from The Commons park in downtown Minneapolis at 2 PM. Move Minnesota’s office will be closed as usual this Friday, and many of our staff are choosing to spend the day in solidarity with impacted communities. We hope to see you out there!

Friday’s action may not work for everyone—and that’s ok. We extend our support and appreciation to bus and train operators, doctors and nurses, and other essential workers who continue to serve community members every day—and to caregivers and vulnerable neighbors who may be unable to march. Join on January 23 if you’re able! And whether through public advocacy or acts of service, we know you’ll keep showing up to defend our rights and support fellow Minnesotans through this difficult time. As local organizing has demonstrated, we’re stronger when we act together.
