Kinship House provides therapy and advocacy for children experiencing foster care and adoption.

We support then as they work through trauma, connect with sage adults, and build stable futures. Kinship House provides outpatient mental health services to foster and adopted children and their families. We specialize in championing children and families with target interventions during all stages of foster care, reunification, and adoption. Founded in 1996, we are a locally accessible facility based in the Lloyd District on the eastside of Portland, Oregon.

Our community saw a need: our rooms deserve the same love and care we put into our children. So you stepped in and raised the funds to make it happen! Now our multipurpose room is a calm, cozy space where kids and families can connect, play and heal together. 🧸

A huge thank you to delanystudio for generously volunteering their time and talent to design the space, and to our amazing volunteers from Daimler Truck North America who spent their day setting it all up. 💛

Maia knows what it means to show up for children and families. After welcoming 45 children into her home as a resource parent, she has continued that commitment through her leadership at Every Child PDX, helping strengthen the community of support surrounding children and families experiencing foster care.

At Light the Way, Maia will join us as we reflect on 30 years of service, lifelong impact and celebrate what becomes possible when caring adults and communities continue to show up. 💛
