Want to make real, lasting change on your campus or in your community to combat climate change and biodiversity loss? The Re:wild Your Campus team is excited to host the next session of our Ground Up Advocacy Bootcamp, a virtual training intensive, on September 2nd, from 2-5:30pm ET/5-8:30pm PT.

This training is intentionally built for emerging youth leaders. Through the Bootcamp, participants will build a deeper understanding of toxic pesticides and their impacts on human and environmental health, and develop advocacy and organizing skills to enact change in their own communities.

Like many organizations, the Xerces Society has been navigating steep cuts to government funding for essential conservation programs. Yet Xerces members are finding creative ways to step up and support invertebrates through peer-to-peer fundraising.

Instead of simply making a donation, they create their own fundraising pages and invite friends, family, and their communities to give in support of the Xerces Society. These campaigns help raise critical funds while also introducing more people to the importance of protecting insects and other invertebrates. We are deeply grateful to everyone who chooses to fundraise on our behalf.

We are especially excited to highlight three outstanding Xerces members whose creativity, dedication and generosity have made a meaningful impact through their fundraising efforts: Nick McMurray of Entomemeology, Jill Gorman of Jill's Butterfly Garden ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/447493070510521/ ), and Cortney Norris.

We’re excited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this great initiative with you! The is a call to action for individuals, organizations and community scientists across North America. Join this effort and support the conservation of monarch butterflies and their habitat! 🥳🎂

Participation is easy. For 10 days, from 31 July to 9 August:
🌳 Go outside
🦋 Search for milkweed plants
🐛 Look for eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises and butterflies
🔎 Share your observations on one of the several data platforms, like iNaturalist
