chappdx.org To date, CHAP has providing more than 70,000 healing art experiences for children and families facing medical challenges.

Children's Healing Art Project (CHAP) is a Portland (Oregon) nonprofit that brings the healing power of art to children and families facing medical challenges. Since 2006, CHAP has been rolling our colorful carts full of art supplies into the playrooms and waiting rooms of area hospitals for children and families to enjoy during otherwise difficult, stressful, and often lonely times. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CHAP quickly shifted to providing free packs of art supplies to local hospitals for medical staff to share with children - since we are unable to currently visit the in person. CHAP now also provides Art Tutorials on all our social media platforms for everyone to enjoy, free Zoom Art Clubs for children facing medical challenges, and sends free CHAP in a Box shipments of art supplies to families we've previously met through our in-hospital programs.

🎵 We are starting our Jam sessions with Influence Music Hall Saturday, September 26th! 🎵

We are inviting the CHAP community to join us at their studio to explore instruments, make some art, and get their jam on! 🎸 🥁

IMH is sharing a bunch of different instruments for kids to explore, plus they can learn from local music teachers. Families will also have an opportunity to make an egg shaker to make some music with! 🎶

After kids explore the creative art club on Saturday families are all going to walk over to IMH just a block over to get their groove on! ✨
