Howell Shepherd (they / she; Kānaka Maoli) is an actor, singer, and voice over artist currently based in the Pacific Northwest. They are so proud to make their NPAN and Bag&Baggage Theater debut! As an actor, they most enjoy the moments when they feel deep resonance with their character, and the experience of connecting with the audience emotionally, and / or unexpectedly. One of their most fulfilling performances to date offered unexpected space to share Hawaiian history and song over multiple shows with a highly receptive audience, and they continue to look back on that opportunity with gratitude. They very much enjoy performing and are pursuing more theater and musical theater roles, as well as voice over and on-camera work. Off stage, they are happiest spending time with their favorite animals and people, practicing different vocal techniques, learning new things, listening to audiobooks, and gardening.

✔️ B&B PreCheck Lecture Series ✔️

Join us Sunday, June 17th at 1:30 pm before our 2 pm Matinee performance for a lecture with Antíkoni Costume Designer Kellen Trenal. Kellen will be talking about the creation, search, and significance of clothing, beaded pieces, and animals worn that the cast wears throughout the show, and their relation to Nez Perce Culture. Free to attend!

Kellen Trenal (pronounced like "Chanel") is a visual artist, performer, alumnus of the University of Notre Dame, and holistic wellness practitioner, born and raised in the Northwest. As a contemporary Black niimíipuu (Nez Perce) voice, storytelling, cultural arts, and language revitalization are key ingredients in each of Kellen’s pieces. His art embraces both traditional design practices and modern-day innovations. He shares his (he)artwork through Trenal Original, a small business offering Kellen’s custom creations to collectors. These works include hand-crafted jewelry, fashion accessories, gallery art, traditional niimíipuu regalia, and contemporary apparel.

Antíkoni opens Saturday, June 6th! Our first of two preview shows start tonight, and we can't wait to have you!
