👌 Sept. 12, 7:30 pm- ASL Interpreted Show
For our hard of hearing patrons, we offer an American Sign Language interpreted show on September 12th. Our interpreters stand on stage and sign along with the actors! It's pretty awesome to watch. All are welcome to attend this performance.

👂 Sept. 13th, 2:00 pm- Audio Described Show
For those who are hard of sight, we offer an Audio Described show on Sept. 13th, with a touch your ahead of the performance. The live description of the play will only be heard through ear pieces given to participating patrons. All are welcome to attend this performance. Want to attend the touch tour before the show? Bag&Baggage is excited to offer another season of PreCheck lectures! Join us at the Vault Theater on Thursday, September 10th and Friday September 18th at 7:00 pm, and get a more in depth look at the world of the play! These lectures are free to attend, and run approximately 20 minutes. If you don't have tickets to the show yet, we recommend you book your seats and stay for the play to make a whole evening of it!

Sept. 10th, 7:00pm - "Working With Neil Simon with Lecturer and Barefoot In The Park Director Jane Unger"
Director Jane Unger will speak on her time spear-heading Profile Theater's 08/09 season, were she produced 11 out of 33 of Simon's body of works, and her experience returning to the playwright for Barefoot In The Park.

Sept. 18th, 7:00pm - "Designing in Black and White with Company Artists Kyra Sanford (Scenic Designer) and Karen Wingard (Props Master)"
See what it takes to design for an entirely black and white show! Designers Kyra and Karen will go through their process of building from Simon's very specific needs outlined in the script, to how to make edible props that look black and white!

🌸About Barefoot In The Park🌸

As one of Neil Simon's most beloved comedies, Barefoot in the Park has been delighting audiences for decades with this delightful "opposites attract" romantic comedy.
Corie and Paul have been married for six whole days, and after their Honeymoon at the Plaza Hotel, they are ready to make their home together. Unfortunately, care-free Corie's dream home is up five flights of stairs (they don't count the stoop out front), has a hole in the skylight (in February), and there's NO BATHTUB.

Paul Bratter, a tight-laced young lawyer, is madly in love with his new wife, but what with her adventurous nature, their eccentric upstairs neighbor's shenanigans, AND a surprise visit from Corie's mother, how far will they all push each other before everyone cracks?

It's a story we all know and love. Free-spirited Corie just wants to go running barefoot through Washington Park, and our serious solicitor Paul tries desperately to keep up. Will they learn to celebrate their differences? Look what was spotted down at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! One of our 26/27 Season Sponsors was enjoying OSF's current production of "Emma" in Ashland and noted a special thank you to Bag&Baggage in the program! B&B Staged "Emma" in 2016, and we're continuing our romance with the RomCom with Neil Simon's "Barefoot In The Park", opening September 3rd-20th! September must be the Season of Love. Visit Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland for their Production of "Emma", running now through October 9th, then return to Hillsboro for some home grown fun with "Barefoot".
