Today, we take the time to honor the defenders of Ukraine who have died protecting her freedom and sovereignty.

We not only mourn their loss, but also celebrate the courage of the living heroes who continue to defend against russian attacks.

To honor them, let us support the individuals and organizations who continue to fight for Ukraine and remember that we all fight together--defenders of the past and present--for Ukraine's future.

On this day 35 years ago, the people of Ukraine came together to declare Ukraine an independent, sovereign nation. In the years since, the banner of this great nation has served as a beacon of resistance to oppression. Today, let us remember every soldier and civilian lost in the defense of Ukraine's independence. Let us celebrate a nation and a people who make the fight worthwhile.
