On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists murdered more than 1,200 people and took hundreds hostage in one of the deadliest attacks in Israel’s history. Among those killed were 378 young people attending the Nova Music Festival, held just a short distance from the Gaza Strip. Another 44 festivalgoers were taken hostage.

On Day Four of the Ambassador Summit 2026, Dr. Matthew Dodd visited the site of the Nova Music Festival, where so many lives were tragically cut short.
