Pete and Lorna are two of our incredibly faithful volunteers.

Lorna is excellent at guiding me as I back in with food deliveries (backing up isn’t my strong point! 🤣), and she hustles like crazy to get things unloaded and food boxes filled.

Pete makes sure everything gets sorted and stored in the freezers and fridges to prep for distribution. And he’s got one heckuva Boston accent! I won’t admit how much time I spent looking for his “cat” the first day I met him. What he was really looking for was his cart! 🤣

Moving forward we will not be distributing food until 1:00 pm.

Customers begin lining up as early as 12:00 noon.

The amount of boxes we have to distribute is dependent on how much food we collect each day. We have no control over this.

Please be patient and understanding of the sacrifices our volunteers make to provide this service to our customers.

Have you ever wondered who all the folks are behind the scenes at Your Food Oasis? Over the coming days and weeks, we’ll be introducing our volunteers as we continue to grow this community.

We’ll kick off with our Board President and faithful leader, Robert Davis. Robert has been volunteering with YFO in some capacity for more than five years.

He’s on site six days a week, working hard every day. When he’s not here, he’s probably dreaming about his next camping trip. 🙂⛺️

“Your Food Oasis”

We have partnered with several local grocery stores and pick up food that is often expired or close to expiration but still safe for consumption.

We inspect the food immediately upon receipt to sort out any obvious spoilage.

We distribute food on Sunday ~ Tuesday ~ Thursday 1:00 pm ~ 3:00 pm

Our food handling and distribution process has passed inspection by the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

We are an all volunteer organization whose goal is to provide food to those who otherwise may not have enough to eat.

Welcome to the public page for Your Food Oasis! We are a volunteer-run food pantry in Hillsboro, Oregon. We offer free food without a requirement to prove financial need. Our food comes primarily from stores who donate their nearly-expired and excess goods.

We operate out of Crosspoint Adventist Church, 3033 SE 59th Ct, Hillsboro, OR 97123.

Our hours are Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday from 1:00pm-3:00pm, or until we run out of food. To receive a food box, you simply drive up, and a volunteer will bring it to your car!
