Last Saturday, p:ear youth, volunteers, and rolled up our sleeves and gave Q-Side Skatepark a refresh ahead of National Go Skate Day!

From sweeping and scrubbing and laying down fresh paint, our crew spent the day under the sun helping make the park look good, skate better, and feel welcoming for everyone who uses it.

Huge thanks to everyone who grabbed a roller, got sweaty, and helped get the park cleaned up!

At the end of May, we were specials guests at the Portland Indie Game Convention (PIGCON) to showcase Rose City Rising!

Created in collaboration between p:ear youth, volunteers, staff, and community partners, Rose City Rising is more than a game—it’s a creative expression of teamwork and the incredible talent within our community.

We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by to play, ask questions, and support the project. A special thank you to our partners at Panic Inc. and the many volunteers ( )and supporters who helped make this vision a reality.

At p:ear, education is always hands-on. Sometimes knee-deep in marshlands, counting tadpoles, searching for Pacific Tree frogs (and finding American Bullfrogs instead!) and asking questions—all the questions. Check out some of the amazing things we saw at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge with our friends 🐸
