A great reminder that safe sleep matters for every sleep, including naps. Consistency helps protect babies, whether they're sleeping for two hours or twenty minutes.

Safe sleep matters for naps, too, not just at bedtime.

Sometimes daytime naps happen on busy days, in the middle of errands, visits, laundry, dishes, and everything else life brings with a baby.

But babies sleep safest every time they are placed on their backs in their own safe sleep space, even for short naps.

Think you can spot a safe sleep space?

The Safe or Not Safe Photo Quiz is a quick, interactive way to test and refresh your knowledge of infant safe sleep. By reviewing real-life images, you’ll learn how to identify safe and unsafe sleep environments and better understand how to reduce the risk of sleep-related deaths. New Resource for Partners

Safe sleep recommendations have changed over the years, and grandparents are often surprised by how much has evolved. Our new Grandparent Brochure helps bridge that gap by explaining current safe sleep guidance in a clear, respectful, and family-friendly way.

From back sleeping to keeping the sleep space free of soft items, this resource helps caregivers start important conversations and stay on the same page when it comes to infant safety.

Partners can download and co-brand the brochure through the Partner Resource Portal. Printed copies are also available through the Partner Store.

Safe sleep education comes with a lot of terminology, and understanding it can make recommendations easier to follow and share.

The Safe Sleep Academy Glossary provides clear, easy-to-understand definitions for common safe sleep terms, helping caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners build confidence in the language of infant sleep safety.

Whether you’re looking up SIDS, SUID, room sharing, or other key concepts, the glossary is a helpful place to start.

Tummy Time does more than encourage development, it helps babies build the strength and motor skills that support safer movement as they grow.

Regular Tummy Time helps strengthen a baby's neck, shoulders, and core while promoting healthy development. Just remember, Tummy Time is for awake, supervised play only. If your baby falls asleep, move them to their back in a safe sleep space.
