PACS’ Community School strategy is now operating at full strength across our schools, with systems and partnerships showing meaningful impact in daily practice.

Highlights from last year include:

• A network-wide Attendance Challenge, where schools used creative strategies like homeroom competitions, raffles, and family outreach to boost student engagement and attendance.

• Expansion of out-of-school-time programming, connecting students with enrichment opportunities such as STEM, the arts, leadership development, and hands-on learning experiences like drone photography.

• A 1,000% increase in outreach and services to families, growing from 460 family members to more than 4,600!

Together, this work continues to strengthen connections between schools, families, and communities.

Your Mental Health Matters

As students balance school, activities, friendships, and everyday responsibilities, it’s important to take care of both your mind and body. Small daily habits can make a big difference.

Here are a few mental health tips for students:
• Get enough sleep each night
• Eat healthy meals and stay hydrated
• Take breaks from screens and social media
• Stay active and spend time outdoors
• Talk to someone you trust about your feelings
• Take assignments one step at a time
• Make time for hobbies and activities you enjoy
• Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Be kind to yourself and others, and remember that support is always available.
