PLEASE RUN FOR MEG TOMORROW! DETAILS BELOW.
CALL TO ACTION! I'm sure many of you have heard about Meg Menzies. Meg was an avid runner in Richmond, VA and a huge member of our running community. On Monday January 13th, she was struck and killed by a drunk driver while out on her morning run. This story really leaves a hole in my heart and I just can't get past the tragic loss for her family, friends and the running community as a whole. JANUARY 18TH (TOMORROW) we are RUNNING MILES FOR MEG!
Here's the deets/what you can do:
1. Print a bib to wear (customizable at http://fitfabandlean.com/create-bib-megs-miles/).
2. Join a friend or 2 or 200 and get outside and run or walk. Any distance. At any time. Anywhere in the world.
3. Take a picture, share a thought or a prayer and use the hashtag on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and any other social media outlet.
4. Tag your location of where you ran on this map: https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=806948
5. Fill out this online form of how many miles you ran so we can add up the total number of miles we ran for Meg: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16V4TD-_C7CH5xeE6VUmrmnIEtPG8YH3fILAjH_yosTU/viewform
6. Join the group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/megsmiles/
NO MATTER WHERE YOU RUN OR HOW FAR YOU RUN: Breathe in the air. Listen to the thump of your feet, the sound of your breath. Think of Meg. Send love to her family and friends. Doing what she loved is our best way to honor her!
