The Education Partnership

The Education Partnership Providing school supplies for students and teachers in under-resourced schools in Southwestern PA For kids to learn, they need the tools.

It's a problem so simple, it gets overlooked— leaving 1 in 3 local kids without basic school supplies. This year alone, we equipped more than 55,000 local kids to succeed in the classroom. 55,000 more still need our help. With your help, we can reach every student.

We aren’t kidding when we tell educators that IT HELPS US when they take more on their visits!

We met a teacher from Manchester Academic Charter School last week who was shopping for the first time at TEP, and she was hesitant to take as much as she needed from our free Teacher Resource Center. We understand that when educators see all the incredible things we give away, it can make them want to share these cool items with other educators. We love your kind nature and want to share these items with others, but let me tell you why we encourage the opposite.

It may seem like a contradiction, but when items are taken, that opens up space for us to get in even more items to support even more teachers. Besides, we encourage EVERY EDUCATOR to take what they need, because you all deserve it! Let us take care of the rest :)

Thank you, Union Fitness! 💙

Union Fitness has generously donated funds for 500 coats for students in Southwestern PA through our Warmer Together campaign. That's 500 kids who will have a warm coat to wear to school this winter. We are so grateful for their partnership and their commitment to our community.

The weather might feel warm right now, but colder months are right around the corner. Thanks to our partnership with Burlington Coat Factory, we can buy coats at just 50 cents each, and our goal is to provide 3,500 coats this year. Last year, Warmer Together provided thousands of children with essential winterwear, and Union Fitness is helping us make an even bigger impact.

Want to join them? Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we can make this winter warmer for every child. 🧣🧤

Digging through boxes? Not anymore!

Thanks to Giant Eagle , the TRC now has an easy grab-and-go shelf stocked with items that are tricky to sort, like clothing in a range of sizes. Educators can browse, pick what they need, and be on their way!

Thank you to the Farina Foundation for their continued generosity! They donate refurbished instruments for our Teacher Resource Center to give away to partner schools, and their latest donation included a batch of guitars and keyboards, essentials for any school music program. We're grateful for partners like the Farina Foundation who help keep music alive in the classroom.

Let's clear up a common misconception: the Teacher Resource Center isn't just for teachers. Anyone employed at one of our partner schools is welcome to shop, including custodians, nurses, paraprofessionals, and more. We recently had a principal from Northgate stop by and stock up on caffeinated drinks to keep her faculty fridge stocked with pick-me-ups for her staff.

That's because we don't just stock up on classroom supplies. We're always looking for donations that support the whole school, such as energy drinks, cleaning products, medical supplies, and more. If it keeps a school running, we want to help provide it.

Thank you to EQT Corporation and TriState Capital for coming together to build Adopt-A-School kits for local students! Both teams spent their visits packing kits that will go straight to classrooms in three different schools in Southwestern PA. For EQT's team, which usually works remotely, it was a rare chance to connect with coworkers face-to-face, and TriState Capital's team clearly enjoyed the chance to spend time together outside their usual work setting too. We're grateful for corporate partners who turn a day together into a day of impact for students who need it most.
