All meet and greets with our adoptable animals and admissions are scheduled by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting one of our cats or dogs or need assistance rehoming an animal, please visit the website www.animaladvocates.net and complete an application. A member of our team will be in contact with you. Meet Dolly, a lovely, petite marbled tabby with a gentle heart.

Dolly has a unique look due to a scar on her forehead. She only has eyebrows on one side, and a permanent sort of furrowed brow expression. Don’t let her serious expression fool you though—Dolly is a sweetheart! Whatever she went through in her past to earn her battle scars, it has not made her any less loving (or adorable!).

Like many cats, Dolly takes a little time to feel comfortable in a new environment, so she may be shy when you first meet her. But if you're patient and let her settle in at her own pace, you'll discover just how affectionate she truly is! Once Dolly trusts you, she's an incredibly sweet companion who loves attention. She'll happily seek you out for pets and enjoys spending quiet time with her favorite people. Her calm, loving personality makes her the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal friend who forms deep bonds.

Dolly’s favorite pass time is sitting on the catio and head butting her favorite caregivers while eating temptations. She also enjoys cat nip, and it’s wonderful to see her silly side come out!

Dolly would do well in a quiet home either as an only cat, or with calm, gentle-natured feline companions. We haven’t seen her around dogs yet, but a calm, cat savvy dog would probably be ok too. If you believe that the best relationships are worth a little patience, Dolly is ready to reward you with plenty of love and companionship.

Meet Dave!

Dave is a playful, talkative, and loving cat currently looking for his forever home. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of affection and high energy, Dave is the cat for you!

With his beautiful golden eyes and loving personality he is sure to win your heart. Dave is a very energetic, sweet cat who loves to run and play with his favorite toys. He is a bit rambunctious with quite impressive jumping skills... he could be part Ninja! After playing, he curls up in his caregivers’ laps and falls asleep.

He has a ton of energy that is sure to bring a smile to your face and he will truly thrive in a home that can provide plenty of outlets for his spirited personality.

Dave is approximately 2 years old. He seems to live comfortably with other cats at the rescue but can take time to make new feline friends. He is a joyful delight who will make a wonderful addition to the right cat-savvy household.

Meet Amy!

Amy is a classy tuxedo cat with a pair of truly magnificent eyebrows and whiskers that give her a very regal and sophisticated look.

Amy is wonderfully friendly and enjoys spending time with people, but she's not the type to demand constant attention. She's perfectly happy to keep you company, whether that's lounging nearby while you read, work, or relax. Her calm, easygoing personality makes her an effortless companion.

While she enjoys the occasional play session, Amy is much more of a connoisseur of cozy naps and comfortable couches. Give her a sunny windowsill, a favorite perch, or a soft blanket, and she'll happily settle in to supervise the household in style.

Amy also gets along well with other cats, especially those with similarly relaxed personalities. She's particularly fond of her fellow residents Caesar and Mac, and would likely enjoy a home with another friendly feline companion.

If you're looking for a graceful, affectionate cat with movie-star looks, a gentle spirit, and a knack for making every room feel a little more elegant, Amy is ready to take her place in your home—and in your heart.

True to her Pittsburghese name, Nebby is just that - inquisitive, attention seeking, social and all things one would expect from a friendly neb!

Nebby loves affection from volunteer caregivers and can be vocal - chirping and meowing - when requesting pets. Nebby previously lived in a multi-pet home, and while she gets along with other resident felines at the rescue, Nebby has the confidence and temperament to thrive as an only cat where she can soak up all the love for herself.

Nebby's birthday is in 2018. While her plump appearance adds to her quirky charm, Nebby would benefit from a home that could help her engage in regular, active play and portion control food in order to reach and maintain a healthy weight. No extra pierogis or chipped ham for this girl!

'Zoe, whom we adopted at 17.5, along with her brother, Clyde (sadly, we lost at 20.5), from Animal Advocates, celebrated her 22nd birthday on July 4th!
