Seeds of Hope

Seeds of Hope The summer of 2011 was Seeds of Hope's first year as a running organization. Joel Eskra. We had a great year but we have even bigger plans for 2013!

With $200 worth of funding and a small crop yield, we were able to donate 75 baskets of produce to organizations. These local organizations were able to distribute the baskets to veterans and their families on Veteran's Day! We would not have been able to do this without the generosity of Giant Eagle and Mr. With the help of the Millvale Community Gardens and the Three Rivers Foundation, Seeds of Hope's centralized location is at the Bartsch Greenhouses on Wible Run Road!

Six years ago today I started on this incredible journey with Seeds of Hope. Our mission was to help veterans with PTS and poverty through awareness. Since then we've reached thousands of veterans and their families through:
$65k raised
3000 lbs of produce grown
767 children educated from our children's book "Seeds of Hope: The Beginning"
550 community members reached through "Our Way Home"
Today I ask you to spend one hour learning about veterans transition home and how you can help by watching Our Way Home: https://vimeo.com/146456146

To all of our supporters please be aware of the fireworks you are setting off this week leading into the Fourth of July. It can be difficult for veterans to hear the loud noises, especially when they are not prepared in advance. Limit your fireworks to the actual holiday to help your some of you veteran neighbors. Thank you.
