Allegheny County is moving forward with Phase 2 Renovations to the Shuman Juvenile Detention Center, a 117,000 sq ft facility on an 18-acre property. Including up to 70,000 sq ft of complete interior renovation, masonry facade repairs, window & door replacements, and a new entry canopy.

Site work including sidewalk reconfiguration, asphalt repairs, landscaping & bioretention, new security fencing, gates & recreation courtyard renovations.

This project includes repairs at multiple locations across the PennWest Clarion University campus. This project includes renovations to the main building for upgraded HVAC systems, building improvements, compressed air system replacement, eyewash stations, a new fire alarm system, and electrical distribution upgrades.

The work also includes construction of a new brine building and containment building, a new roof for the salt building, Annex building window and flooring replacements, and site work, including new water and sewer lines and paving.
