HOPE For Tomorrow, Inc.

HOPE For Tomorrow, Inc. Helping Ourselves Produce Excellence for Tomorrow, Inc. The challenge today appears to be a loss of hope for tomorrow. The restoration of Tomorrow begins Today.

After facing the staggering realities of the rise in single parent homes, teenage pregnancies, gang activity, unemployment and academic failure, many individuals now express a loss of faith in the future both individually and for the communities in which these tragedies/challenges are so prevalent. To restore faith, a system must be put in place that provides an opportunity to reestablish a positi

ve connection between the individual and his community. Through the provision of prevention/early intervention services, the individual will be able to access opportunities for involvement in prosocial activities and develop hope for a positive future. The goal of Today’s Tomorrow is to assist those experiencing personal hardship to develop and strengthen skills to decrease risk of further difficulties. This is accomplished through the implementation of programs specific to the needs of the Greater Pittsburgh communities. Program goals include 1) the introduction of wisdom, strength, and power into the social fabric of the community, 2) teaching entrepreneurial skills, business and operations management, 3) teaching healthy living skills to improve the behavioral patterns of both adolescents and adults to last their entire lifetime, 4) teaching daily living skills to increase the individual’s marketability/potential in present and future economies. Today’s Tomorrow is determined to create an empowered environment which will be a priceless resource to the populations being served.

What a DAY. What a GAME. What a MEMORY. 🖤💛

Fifteen of our HOPE For Tomorrow, young men got the experience of a lifetime at the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. rivalry game — and whew… they picked the MOST EPIC one of the season!

Tailgating, pregame show, great seats, and nonstop excitement. For many, this was their first NFL game ever.

Huge thanks to our partners at the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police for making this possible. Our young men work hard every day afterschool with us In chess, stem, mental health class, academics and more — moments like this remind them they’re seen, valued, and deserving of big experiences. Shout out to Mr Cameron Boston with Pittsburgh fo making sure our guys are safe and protected, in and out of program hours!

They say the win when there’s a little HOPE in the building. Well… here we go! ✨🏈

This is what access looks like.
This is what exposure feels like.
This is what HOPE in action means.

🌸 One of the best partnerships we’ve had this year has been with UPMC’s program 🏃🏾‍♀️

The coaches show up every week with big smiles and caring hearts, and our girls have truly found a love for health, fitness, and sisterhood. 💕

We’re so proud of their growth and can’t wait to cheer them on at their big run on November 16th! 🏃🏽‍♀️🎉

Thank you, , for pouring into our girls and helping them see just how strong and unstoppable they really are. 💪🏾✨

💙 This summer we launched our Boyz to Men series—bringing strong men from the community to pour into our boys and teen staff. We ended the series with the fraternities showing up deep, and the energy was powerful.

One young man stayed at the end and shared how attending programming like HOPE shaped him. He chatted with the guys and made sure they found ways to stay connected. He was fresh out of college and ready to mentor.

Fast forward—he’s now on staff! 🙌

This morning, CJ is leading by example, taking our middle and high school boys to a city mentoring/ mental health event on a day off from school.

Welcome to the team, CJ. Full circle moments like this are why we do what we do. ✨

🎨 Today in HOPE art class, our kids dreamed up what a “HOPE Neighborhood” could look like — starting with lists of what matters most to them, then teaming up to sketch their visions. 🏡✨

This weekly class is led by the amazing Korey Edmonson — a Pittsburgh-born artist with murals all over the city. Despite his success, Korey pours right back into the community, helping our youth tell their own stories through art. 💙

📸 We Did Our BIG One This Summer! 📸

This summer was one for the books!
Through our partnership with Partner4Work , we placed:
✨ 22 amazing teens (ages 14–18)
✨ 6 dynamic young adults (ages 19–24)

They served as mentors, joined life skills classes on social justice, mental health, and positive body health, served meals and helped facilitate afternoon classes for our campers.

And here’s the best part — most of these leaders came right from our West End community 💛

This summer proved what we’ve always known: We have GREAT ones.

We’re changing the narrative, one young leader at a time.

Thank you PHASE 4 Learning Center, Inc. and Communities In Schools for another amazing Summer partnership 🌟

✨One of the things that makes HOPE Camp truly special? Our amazing partners! 💥

This summer, we were thrilled to welcome back our friends from Imagine Further Collective—a dynamic team that consistently shows up and shows OUT for our youth!

From our curious second graders all the way up to our wise and witty Leaders in Training (aka L.I.T.s our PAID teen staff in grades 9–11), Imagine Further meets them right where they are. Through powerful conversations, interactive activities, and safe spaces to reflect, they help our youth explore what it means to care for their minds and emotions.

🧠 Mental health matters—and our campers are learning early how to manage stress, build confidence, and express themselves in healthy ways.

Special shoutout to Ms. Lex, Ms. Tiff, and the entire IFC crew for being loving, supportive, and super patient! We appreciate you more than you know! 💛

Thank you Partner4Work for providing
the teens an opportunity to 💴 while they

✨Sneaker Ball Magic ✨ | HOPE Style👟💃🏾🕺🏽

This weekend, HOPE showed up and showed OUT! We had the joy of taking over 25 of our youth to the 25 Under 25 Sneaker Ball Gala, hosted by our amazing partners at Young Black Motivated Kings & Queens —and it was a night to remember.

Our kids were glowing—dressed to impress, dancing all night, and soaking in every moment. They cleaned up so well and looked absolutely incredible!

The highlight? Watching Mikey, Amajah, and K’aijha be honored for their leadership, service, and impact. Amajah and K’aijha came through HOPE as youth and are now out in the world making waves. Mikey has been with us for six years and has poured into this work deeply—his siblings came through HOPE, and he’s continued the legacy.

Our younger campers were beaming with pride. They gave standing ovations and looked at our honorees like true celebrities—because to them, they are.

This is what HOPE is all about: seeing what’s possible and knowing you’re next.

Thank you to our parents, chaperones, partners, and funders—your support helps us raise excellence every day. Your dollars are making sense. Thank you:

And another one! 💪🏾

Today’s guest speaker, Mr. Michael, showed up for our young men in the most powerful way—by sharing his life story and teaching them something every man (and honestly, every person) should know… how to change a tire! 🛞🔧

It might seem simple to some, but this right here is major. Knowing how to take care of yourself in real life moments builds confidence, self-sufficiency, and pride. These are the skills that stick.

We’re so thankful for the men who show up, teach, and pour into our boys. This summer, they won’t just walk away with memories—they’re walking away with life tools. ❤️

Wednesdays at HOPE are all about relaxing, relating, and releasing — and today, we did just that!

After a focused morning of reading and math, our 5th and 6th graders hit the water with our friends from Riverlife and Venture Outdoors for a kayaking trip along the rivers of Pittsburgh. Sun shining, paddles moving — they got to see the city from a whole new perspective. Kayaking isn’t just fun, it’s a skill in balance, confidence, and exploration!

Later in the day, the rest of our 2nd through 8th grade campers joined in for an afternoon of bowling and beach vibes at Paradise Beach. Sand, strikes, and smiles all around!

What a day — filled with movement, memory-making, and seeing our city from all angles.

This is why they keep coming back for more.
Trust us… they’re going to sleep great tonight! 😴✨
